Chicago Midway Airport Shuttles, Taxis and Trains

Chicago Midway Airport is served directly by rail, taxi, shared-ride van, bus, and shuttle.

Train Services

The Chicago Transit Authority's (CTA) Orange Line train services links Chicago Midway Airport with downtown Chicago via Harold Washington Library. The train runs seven days a week from 4am until 1am the next morning. If you are traveling in the early hours (i.e. between 1am and 4am) you can still catch a taxi, or else pre-arrange a shuttle collection.

You can purchase a ticket at the airport station, which is located alongside the airport across Cicero Avenue. Tickets cost from $2.25 for a single ticket, or from $5.75 for a day travel card which allows unlimited travel. Taxi and Shared-ride Van Services

Taxis are available can be found outside the main terminal and can be hailed outside. Shared-ride vehicles are also available. All taxi rides are metered, except for rides to downtown Chicago, which can have a flat rate.

Bus and Shuttle Services

Several shuttle companies operate from MDW airport, most of which stop outside the Lower Level's third exit (LL3).

Continental Airport Express

Shuttles offering a door-to-door service to and from the airport leave Chicago Midway airport every 15 minutes and operate between 6:00 am and 11:30 pm. Pick-up is from in front of the main terminal building, at Lower Level door LL3. Omega Airport Shuttle

This is a convenient and inexpensive to travel between Chicago Midway and O'Hare International Airports. Shuttles leave Midway Airport every hour between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, and travel to Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Pick-up is from Lower Level door LL3 at Chicago Midway Airport. Coach USA Wisconsin

They provide an hourly shuttle service from 8 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. between Chicago Midway and O'Hare International Airports. Pickup is located at door 3 and 4 on the lower level baggage claim at Midway Airport. For more information contact Coach USA Wisconsin on +1 877 324 7767.

How can I reach O’Hare Airport from Midway? You can do this using either a taxi, available outside the terminal entrance, or using Chicago’s public transport, the CTA. The CTA route however can be very time consuming, so it is recommended to either enquire after a shared shuttle or pre-book a taxi.
